This is the Church of Christ the Scientist in Berkley, California. I discovered it during a summer job. One of my ‘co-workers’ referred to it as “THAT Church” with a certain disdain for the concepts and no regard for the beauty of the building itself…and his ‘label’ has stuck with me ever since he first uttered it.
As a vice, photography is pretty tame. But it does excite and satisfy creative urges for shutterbug junkies like me. Some times when we least expect surprising results from our camera companions we experience moments of sheer ecstasy when realizing just how much more than our own eyes our camera's lens has captured in a instant. Clicking a camera's buttons catches images with a complexity of scope and detail that I find utterly fascinating. Photography is a different art medium than painting or drawing and yet the aesthetics remain constant in the quest for quality that connects everything.
Post for contact if you have a penchant for a print of a particular photo.
Peace.
